Lampert Lumber is the premier provider of lumber and building materials in Sturgeon Bay. We have proudly served contractors and residents for over a century.
The county seat city of Door County, Sturgeon Bay, is home to over 9,144 residents. We’ve been fortunate enough to serve many of these residents and the contractors that work on their buildings. The city spans over 11 square miles of land and 9 square miles of water. The city is located at the end of the bay where it receives its name. The bay is home to the Sturgeon Bay Ship Canal that was built across the remainder of the Door Peninsula.
The town is home to its own Police and Fire Departments. The police department has 12 patrol officers, four sergeants and nine cars. The Fire Department of Sturgeon Bay employs 14 full-time and 15 part-time firefighters that operate 11 vehicles in two stations.
Sturgeon Bay has many schools in its city. The city is home to two elementary schools, one middle school, one high school and a satellite campus for a technical college. Three former schools, Saint Peter, Corpus Christi and Saint Joseph, formed the elementary school. The elementary school is now called Saint John Bosco.
The city hosts an annual festival called the Steel bridge Songfest. Nationally known musicians flood the city to perform.
